BILINGUAL BOOKS AT DRML
A very common request regarding children’s material at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library is for bilingual picture books. As we include more bilingual children’s books in our collection, we are working hard to make it easier for people to find them.
We are putting “World Language” stickers on children’s materials that are either bilingual or written in a language other than English. You will find these stickers in easy to find spots.
Books that are shelved with bindings facing out will have these stickers at the top of the binding:
Picture books that are shelved with the cover facing out have stickers in the corner next to the identifying bin letter on the book cover:
Another way to find bilingual books is through “Lists” in the online catalog.
Start by going to the DRML home page http://www.drml.org. Then click on “Catalog/ Your Account” in the top menu:
This opens a new tab with the Catamount Library Network KOHA catalog page. At the very top of this page, click on “Lists”:
…and a drop down menu shows the lists currently available to DRML patrons. We try to keep lists up-to-date, including the “DRML Children Foreign Language Material” list:
I hope this helps you get the books you need at DRML!
